Village Centers | Community Retail
River Hill Village Center | Clarksville, MD
This center, which opened in late 1997, is the last of the Columbia, Maryland grocery store anchored village centers. Inspired in part by the traditional architectural vocabulary of architect and planner Leon Krier's New Town of Poundbury in England, the architecture of the River Hill Village Center reflects its pastoral setting in the rolling hills of Howard County. The material and color palette that was established for the main buildings is continued, in numerous variations, in each of the outparcel buildings within the village center complex.

Maple Lawn Retail Buildings I & II | Maple Lawn, MD
These two multi-tenant retail buildings, which opened in 2005, were the first retail buildings in the Downtown District of the Maple Lawn TND (Traditional Neighborhood Development), a planned community in Howard County, MD, just south of Columbia. These two buildings serve as the entry gateway on Maple Lawn Boulevard into the workplace district, which has now grown with the completion of numerous office buildings, additional retail outparcels, a grocery store, and new residential units.
